Wall

In the diagram at the top of the page "records 1" and "records 2" should tell the same story, but they don't. There would not even be a records 1 unless the veteran makes it by communicating in writing and not by telephone. History suggests that a researcher would only be shown records 2 and would assume it's the whole story.

There is an invisible wall between "records 1" and "records 2" and I am powerless to penetrate it.
